Pack the Water Shoes and Let's Go!

My Top 5 Splash Parks in New Jersey.

By Macaroni Kid Moorestown-Mt. Laurel-Lisa August 1, 2023

Splash pads are growing in popularity these days and are a better alternative to swim clubs and water parks because they are more reasonably priced, either free or charging an inexpensive admission fee to play.

Splash pads, also known as spray pads, spray parks, or fountains, are some of the coolest places to be found, all over New Jersey.

People frequently stay indoors as the weather heats up. However, parents, teenagers, and young children still need entertainment. Thankfully, Macaroni Kid was able to discover some ways to beat the heat while still being outside as I highlighted the top 5 splash parks around Jersey.

1. Sea Spray Park

Located in Seaside Heights.

A variety of sea animals, two slides with a big bucket, a fascinating theme bus from the 1970s, and several cascading flowers are available at Sea Spray Park to keep you cool. There are numerous Adirondack chairs scattered all over the area as you watch your kids play. A food bar that is connected to this location offers a wide variety of meals that any family would enjoy. Restrooms are available on the property. This brand-new spray park is unlike any other because and the best part, it is situated directly on the boardwalk and has parking across the street.

2. Wheeler Spray Park

Located in Linden, NJ

One of New Jersey's largest spray parks to date, John Russell Wheeler Park is a massive 11,000 square foot attraction. With more than 30 different activities, this spot has a lot to offer. What stands out is the enormous green water serpent. Additionally, there are slides, a pirate ship, sprinklers, sprayers, and a water bucket for dumping. A playground, softball and soccer fields, bathrooms, and a picnic area are among the additional amenities.

3. Asbury Splash Park

Located in Asbury Park

After spending all day at the beach, you can cool off at this splash pad. For obvious safety reasons, a gated fence surrounds this splash area next to the beach. The pad comes with a huge, creative teacup and hose. It also includes a sizable bucket for dumping. Do you recall the film "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids"? This park makes me think of that. Additionally, it had kid-friendly water and spray elements.

4. Sunrise Park and Splash Pad

Located in Wildwood Crest, NJ

The new Sunrise Park, located near Wildwood Crest, has two sizable playgrounds with access to the beach, a splash park, and an adult fitness area. Those who live nearby or decide on staying in a hotel can leave their bikes in the new bike racks. There are places to sit and watch the kids play, and fencing will be built as needed, per article. Despite its small size, the splash park is a terrific way to cool off after playing in the parks.

5. Johnson's Corner Farm

Located in Medford, NJ

Bring both shoes and your swimwear. This well-known farm contains a splash pad and a range of kid-friendly activities. In addition to monthly activities and indoor play at the Discovery Barn, there are seasonal hayrides for picking fruits and vegetables as well as animal petting. With their splash pad and playground, Johnson's farm will no doubt become busy once summer arrives. There are many of fun things to do on the playground, like a sandbox, pedal go-karts, rock climbing, and an imitation farm. You can grab some homemade food and fresh apple cider doughnuts in the farmhouse and have a casual picnic outside beneath the pavilions if you get hungry.
